What is Speech and Language Therapy?

Speech and language therapy helps improve verbal and nonverbal communication skills. It is used to treat early language skills, language disorders, speech disorders and feeding problems.

Speech vs. Language

A speech delay or disorder refers to a problem with the actual production of sounds, whereas a language disorder refers to a difficulty understanding or putting words together to communicate ideas.
